It is a pleasure for us to talk about the true partnership between the Ministry of Education represented by the General Administration of school feeding and international organizations and in particular (WFP), the supportive partner and primary funding of the development projects of represented by supporting education, which is the basic foundation for the advancement and progress of societies. Since 1967, WFP has begun implementation of its programs and projects and its various activities in Yemen through the implementation of several projects (to support the education of students in the various regions of targeting), which focused in recent years to support the education of girls in remote and poor areas. Thus, they are more than four decades marked by a privileged relationship of partnership and cooperation in which the World Food Programme (WFP) presented a lot of support for the projects primary and secondary education through the girls' education project and projects supporting poor families.
There is no doubt that the implementation of these projects have implications and tangible positive results that we touched them in education in the project of supporting the education of the girl, who contributed significantly to increase the enrollment of students in primary and secondary education and thereby reduce the gap between male and female students, so we can say that the gap shrunk to a large extent in the targeted schools compared to non-target schools, also this project contributed in the alleviation of poverty in which the remote and poor areas were targeted and consequently this project was met with great relief by families, especially parents of students.
As for the Relief Project, which came in the difficult economic conditions experienced by Yemen, a project is wider funded by the World Food Programme (WFP), and is implemented through the General Administration of School Feeding (GASFP) in which the targeted families are today more than 381.000 households who are distributed in (2481) distribution centers (schools) in (114 districts) in (8) eight Governorates; and this project also contributed significantly to the alleviation of poverty, and we extend our thanks and appreciation to the United Nations represented by the World Food Programme (WFP) on this great support for our country and we appreciate all the efforts made by them.
As we congratulate the General Administration of School Feeding for founding this website, and we hope to be a distinguished website that contains all data and information and tha various activities of the General Administration of School Feeding and its partners.
